HMO is an MC, musician and producer from the South Coast of NSW. With an organic fusion of instrumentation and electronic elements, HMO’S music channels a range of Genres from early Funk and Soul to Reggae and Blues. Inspired by funk bands such as The Meters and James Brown, along with Hip Hop such as A Tribe Called Quest, Ice Cube, J Cole and a host of new Australian Hip Hop artists. HMO’s music aims to deliver funking beats with a distinct social and political message.
Currently HMO is in the studio finishing writing and recording his debut EP titled “Heightened Modus Operandi” and creating video content for his existing and upcoming releases. After years of having his solo work burning in the back of his creative mind, he has decided to follow his Hip Hop passions and release his debut solo EP.
HMO grew up on the South Coast of NSW and after a few years living in Sydney and Melbourne, is now residing in his hometown of Gerringong, NSW. HMO is a career musician who has been playing in bands from an early age and performs regularly with various groups as an instrumentalist and MC.
HMO has recently released the first two singles “Utopia” and “Human Erace” off his upcoming EP and has received some favourable reviews from listeners of triple J unearthed. HMO aims to deliver to future audiences unpretentious, lyrical music that reflects his social and political message and his passion for music.
