‘A Brown kid in a Black Town’, Neelay was born and raised in Sydney’s western suburb of Blacktown.
Introduced to rap at an early age after his mum gave him a Busta Rhymes CD and Eminen’s ‘Curtain Call’ album Neelay began writing his own rhymes in year 5 and releasing his own music in year 9.
Selective with his releases Neelay was the dark horse coming into our Cypher Class of 2018.
However, any questions regarding his spot were gone after the shoot and with the Cypher release two weeks away and new music in the works for Neelay everyone will soon see the reason why…
