Australian born to Mauritian and Slovakian parents, Spectoral is a singer-songwriter rising out of the tightly connected Melbourne producer scene. Amassing several thousand followers on Insta, he pulls impressive numbers on Spotify with each release. Spectoral’s fanbase has swelled in the past year thanks to strong, acclaimed live performances, his social network omnipresence, and most of all, the music. Known for his sultry-pop vocal style, Spectoral blends singer-songwriter lyricism with his unique brand of lo-fi textured hip-hop, indie-RnB production.
Readying a 2018 sophomore EP with notable Australian industry names such as Tim Watt & Tim McArtney (George Maple, Flume, Touch Sensitive), Ben Feggans (The Kite String Tangle, Ngaiire), Sebastian Ivanhov (Alius, Blake Rose), Robin Waters (Darling James, Ella Hooper) and Klaus ‘Heavyweight’ Hill (Pnau, Kilter, Ministry of Sound Australia), Spectoral is positioned to kick increasingly ambitious goals.
Continually receiving acclaim from venues and fans, the Melbourne-based artist has enjoyed indie radio spins across his home country, airing on stations from FBi, SYN, Radio Adelaide, Plenty Valley FM and Bondi Radio to name a few. By mid 2017, he’d charted on Hype Machine, was featured in their Spotify playlist, and had been invited as a guest for television and radio spots with SYN, 1700 and Plenty Valley FM.
